Handmade Aesthetics Meet Innovative Design in EO Beauty's Signature Soap Packaging

Studio 10 Design, led by Tak Cheung, has revolutionized the packaging design for EO Beauty's signature product, a handmade beauty soap. Inspired by the brand's commitment to natural ingredients and preservative-free products, the design team has created a unique packaging solution that has earned them a prestigious Silver A' Packaging Design Award in 2017.

The design team's primary challenge was to create a packaging design that would stand out in the saturated market of handmade skincare brands in Hong Kong, especially considering EO Beauty's status as a new company. The solution was to create a clean, minimalist design that would reflect the brand's ethos and make a strong impression on potential customers. The design's main visual is an irregular shape that symbolizes soap dissolving in water, conveying the product's natural and handmade qualities.

Studio 10 Design utilized translucent paper for the packaging, a decision that allowed consumers to see the soap in its natural, uncovered state. This innovative use of material not only showcased the product but also added a unique touch to the packaging, further differentiating it from other brands. The smooth texture of the paper was also chosen to evoke the feeling of silky soft skin, enhancing the user's interaction with the product even before it is opened.

Adding to the handmade feel of the packaging, white stitching was used, contributing to the overall minimalist, clean, and natural brand image.
